1. What this site is
Hiddencorners is an independent editorial publication about real, lesser-visited places. It is an information resource. It is not a tour operator, a booking agent, a guiding service or a safety authority, and it does not supervise, endorse or vet any operator mentioned on it.
2. Travel information is not advice — read this one
We cover remote, physically demanding and occasionally hazardous places. Access routes, flight schedules, visa and permit rules, weather and glacier conditions, road status, prices and safety regulations change without notice, sometimes in response to accidents.
Nothing on this site is professional travel, safety, medical, legal or financial advice. Information here is desk-researched, dated, and will go out of date. Before you travel:
- Check your government's current travel advisory.
- Check the official park, weather, road and safety authorities for the region.
- Confirm every logistical detail with a licensed operator.
- Obtain insurance that actually covers the destination, the advisory level and the activity.
Glacier caves, via ferrata, expedition caving, remote desert driving and unguided travel in wilderness can kill people, and have. You travel entirely at your own risk and on your own judgement.
3. AI-generated imagery
All images on this site are AI-created interpretive editorial illustrations. They are not photographs, they do not depict real current conditions, and they must not be relied upon for navigation, route-finding or hazard assessment. See the disclosure page.
4. Intellectual property
The text, the Silence Index methodology, the Corner Codex and Traveler's Panel formats, the Whisper Routes concept and the site design are the work of Hiddencorners. You may quote short excerpts with clear attribution and a link. Please do not republish articles in full or reuse the imagery without asking first.
5. External links and embedded maps
We link to third-party sites for verification and further reading, and we embed maps from OpenStreetMap. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices. Map markers indicate an approximate location for orientation only. They are not survey-grade and are not a navigation aid.
6. Advertising and affiliate links
There is currently no advertising and there are no affiliate links on this site. If either is introduced, it will be clearly labelled and disclosed on the disclosure page before it goes live.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hiddencorners accepts no liability for loss, injury or damage arising from use of this site or from reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
